As a Tamil therapist-in-training, Rebekah offers affordable, culturally sensitive virtual therapy across Ontario for people navigating trauma, difficult religious experiences and spiritual abuse, cultural identity and family expectations, anxiety, and identity concerns.

Hear from Rebekah: In a world that can feel uncertain and overwhelming, you deserve to find a sense of peace within the noise. As a Tamil therapist-in-training, I bring experience supporting individuals in crisis as well as older adults living with Alzheimer’s and their families. I understand how quickly life can shift in unexpected ways, and how difficult those moments can be to navigate. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.

You may be a good fit for working with me if:

  • You are questioning the faith or beliefs you grew up with.
  • Religious experiences have left you carrying fear, guilt or shame.
  • Your family’s expectations conflict with the life or identity you want.
  • You feel caught between your culture and your own needs, particularly as a First or Second Generation Immigrant.
  • You want to set boundaries without feeling that you are betraying your family or faith.
  • School or career pressure is affecting your confidence or mental health.

My approach is rooted in emotionally-focused and mindfulness-based interventions, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic therapy.

If you are looking for a culturally sensitive space to explore faith, identity, family expectations or religious trauma, I invite you to book a free consultation. We can talk about what you need and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

Healing is not linear, but with time and support, it can lead to a greater sense of self and resilience.  me
