I come to the therapy process with over 25 years experience as an expressive arts therapist. I prioritize trust and listening in our work together. With a background in dance and vocal art, I am curious and motivated by the process of not knowing what will happen next. As you speak about your life, I will pay attention to your past, bringing to light how your life experiences and learned ways of coping may be repeated in the present – at times, without awareness. Through empathy, we navigate your challenges, strengths, and goals, promoting personal growth and a sense of liberation from old habits.

Focus areas: 2SLGBT community, trauma, substance use, depression, and neurodiversity. I work relationally and integrative expressive arts therapy with adults, couples, and families. I work from a diversity, equity, and inclusion framework, and art making can be one way you may process difficult feelings.

In other parts of my life, I am a core faculty member at The CREATE Institute, where I supervise and teach arts based psychotherapy. Over the last 20 years, painting is one of the ways I take care of myself, and I have a strongly developed painting practice. I am interested in the relationship between intent and accident, believing that the history of the process becomes inseparable from what emerges, both in my painting and in the therapy process.
