Growing, Still
A Creative Expression Group for BIPOC Community Members
Growing, Still is a monthly group to collectively and creatively explore our emotions and personal stories. We draw on guided movement, storytelling, and art-making to find meaning. We will practice pausing, so that in the stillness we can hear our feelings and choose our response. Being together in this process can build resiliency, insight, and connection.
This program takes place monthly on Tuesdays, 7:00 to 8:30 pm EST via Zoom.
5 Saturdays, Bi-weekly
from February 21 to April 18
South Asian Families for Empowered Minds (S.A.F.E. Minds)
A warm, welcoming space where South Asian parents and caregivers can gently explore children’s mental health. We understand these conversations can feel new or sensitive within our communities, so we’ve created a space where families can learn, ask questions, and try things out without any pressure. Together, we hope to make children’s emotional well-being feel safe, familiar, and supported.
Our hope is to increase mental-health awareness among South Asian families and introduce them to the services available through both organizations. The sessions will include art and play activities for children, while parents engage in psychoeducation around therapy services at Ripple Effect and Redbird Therapy. We also hope this space helps families get to know us better and reflect on any barriers that might make accessing therapy difficult.
6 Saturdays, Monthly from February 28 to July 25
Movement & Meaning
BIPOC Dance Event
Movement & Meaning is a drop-in expressive movement group that offers a welcoming, culturally affirming space for individuals from the BIPOC community to reconnect with their bodies. Using gentle prompts, music, and somatic exploration, participants are invited to move in ways that support self-expression, grounding, and collective care. No dance experience required. This group centers joy, rest, and authenticity. We honor your lived experience, cultural resilience, and personal choice. Come as you are and move in the way that feels right for you.
This program takes place on the last Saturday of February to July, 2:30 to 4:30 pm EST.
